Hi, I’m Ileana, an astrologer and the creator of Matriarch Astrology.

My work focuses on understanding astrology through a developmental lens, especially how planetary symbolism unfolds in childhood, family dynamics, and personal growth. I practice astrology using traditional techniques while approaching charts with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique path.

Over the past several years, I have dedicated myself to studying astrology and working with clients through natal chart readings and parent child chart consultations. I’m particularly interested in how astrology can help parents better understand their children’s natural temperament, emotional needs, and developmental patterns. Rather than using astrology to predict or limit a child’s future, I approach charts as a tool for awareness and guidance. A birth chart can offer meaningful insight into how a child experiences the world, how they learn, how they process emotions, and how parents can better support their growth. I’m also a mother, and my experience raising children deeply informs my perspective. Parenting has shown me that astrology is not about fixed destinies, but about recognizing patterns and potentials that unfold over time through environment, relationships, and personal development. My intention with this work is to help people develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their families while honoring the agency, complexity, and unfolding nature of every human life. I have also been featured on The Astrology Podcast with Chris Brennan, where we discussed the symbolism of the twelve houses and how they can manifest during childhood development. Through readings, educational content, and conversations about astrology, my goal is to offer insight that is thoughtful, grounded, and empowering.
